I graduated in 2012 with a major in Intenrational Studies and minors in Spanish Language, Human Rights & Genocide Studies, and Political Science.

“Currently I am getting my MSc in International Relations at the London School of聽Economics and Political Science (LSE). LSE is an extremely diverse institution, so I am sure聽my ability to speak Spanish was an important factor in my acceptance. I have not met one聽person here who has not been able to speak at least one foreign language! Being at LSE聽is also a result of my experiences working in Spain last year, which never could have聽happened without my language abilities.”

“My ability to speak Spanish has been a central聽skill in all my post-graduate endeavors and is one of the greatest skills I took away from聽Ramapo.聽I have made so many friends in Spain because of my language abilities! It is incredible聽how much traveling changes when you can speak the language of the people! Even聽though English is spoken globally, there is a whole different level of personal connection聽that comes with being able to speak a foreign language. You feel a greater connection to聽a society if you can speak the language.”

“Hope all is well at Ramapo and the Spanish program is thriving! I don’t know what I聽would have done without it!”

Nora didn’t mention that she was living in Spain due to a Fulbright Scholarship she won!
