The EOF Summer Studies Institute is the foundation of your academic, personal, and professional success at Ramapo College. This five-week summer bridge program is required for all incoming first-year EOF scholars to support a successful transition to college.
The in-person residential Summer Studies Institute is:

The EOF Summer Studies Institute, more commonly known as the EOF Summer Program, requires you to live on campus for the duration of the program. The program comes at NO COST to students, as the EOF Program and the College cover tuition, books, summer housing, and more!

During the week prior to move-in, students will receive an assigned move-in timeslot between 9:00AM and 12:00PM.
Guests may remain on campus until 12:30PM. The program will officially begin for students at 1:00PM.
Classes will run from Monday, July 6 through Wednesday, August 5, 2026 (Monday through Thursday).
Students are expected to attend all classes, workshops, meetings, and activities unless otherwise approved by EOF staff.
Course fee, housing, books, supplies, and program expenses for the EOF Summer Studies Institute are fully covered by the EOF Program and Ramapo College.
Students are expected to attend all assigned classes, meetings, workshops, and required programs.
Students are not required to live on campus during the fall or spring semesters unless they choose to do so.
If a student has dietary restrictions, please speak with the dining hall staff directly.
Dinner will not be provided on Sundays and Thursdays, with the exception of move-in on Sunday, July 5.
Students will return home Thursday afternoons and return to campus on Sundays. Students do not have the option to remain on campus over the weekend.

The final day of the Summer Studies Institute is Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
On Thursdays and Sundays, there will be one shuttle that takes students to and from campus to the Ramsey Route 17 Train Station and Garden State Plaza (access to a major hub for NJ Transit buses).
The schedule for the shuttle will be provided at orientation.
Any visitors are welcome to visit during the scheduled breaks, and must remain outside of the residence halls.
Both courses fulfill college graduation requirements and will count toward your GPA. Classes are held every morning, Monday through Thursday. A full program schedule will be shared by your EOF Advisor.
Depending on your placement test (Accuplacer) scores, you may also participate in the Reclaim My Math Program, which is offered as additional self-paced study support. EOF Scholars are automatically placed into the program based on their scores and do not need to register or pay separately.
Students should bring their personal laptop and charger for academic work and program activities.

As a bonus this year, students will receive a bedding bundle that includes sheets, a pillow, towels, and a laundry bag.
Each bedroom is secured with an assigned punch-code entry system.

If a student is found to be in possession of a prohibited item, the item may be removed from the room, and they student may receive a fine.
Summer schedules will be shared during New Student Orientation on one of the following dates:
During orientation, students will also register for their First-Year Seminar and review their Fall 2026 class schedule.
Students who do not earn at least a 2.0 GPA during the summer program may not be permitted to continue at Ramapo College as EOF students in the fall semester.

Students who remain motivated, engaged, and focused will have a successful EOF summer experience.
As a reminder, students are required to return to campus Sunday evenings.

Please note that parking is free during the summer. However, parking permits during the fall and spring semesters require a fee.
