3ÌýSteps to Creating Your ePortfolio:

  1. Compose the text materials, examples of work, and personal reflections which you choose to include in your ePortfolio.ÌýIf you are having a hard time deciding what personal and educational experiences are significant enough to include in your ePortfolio,Ìýit may be helpful to consult with previous students, professors, and/or advisers and ask for their input. Remember, this ePortfolio should function as a space to demonstrate your skills as well as your opinions about your progress, so remember to include all of these aspects!
  2. Create, edit, and organize the multimedia content you plan to present in your portfolio.This can include a wide variety of contentÌýincluding personal photos, imagesÌýillustrating interesting experiences you have had, data tables, graphs,Ìýor sampleÌýexams and/or lesson plans (for teacher education).
  3. Present the items collectedÌýin steps 1 and 2 in an organized and visually compellingÌýformat using one of the blogging websites listedÌýbelow!ÌýYour ePortfolioÌýwill be eventuallyÌýbe openÌýto the public (i.e.Ìýprofessionals and potential employers), so keep in mind how you want to presentÌýyourselfÌýwhen creating your final product.

Also note, although it is not listed below, Ìýis another serviceÌýyou may choose to use.ÌýEduBlogs is a websiteÌýsimilar to those listed here, howeverÌýitÌýis geared more specifically toward use by students, teachers, and schools. You should also note that theÌýfree version of EduBlogs providesÌýrelatively limited storage space compared to several of the other providers mentioned here.
