The following ideas were proposed:<\/p>\n<div class=\"row colSet\">\n<div class=\"sColumn col-sm-12 col-md-12 \">\n<ul>\n<li>Solar Panels on Campus<\/li>\n<li>Wind Turbines on Campus\u2014near Rte. 202<\/li>\n<li>Improve recycling bins, signage and collection procedures<\/li>\n<li>More Hydration Stations on Campus<\/li>\n<li>More Motion Detector Light Switches, Low-flo Showers and Toilets, Flushless Urinals<\/li>\n<li>Signage in every office and classroom, urging folks to turn off the lights when they leave<\/li>\n<li>Set expectations for incoming students during Orientation<\/li>\n<li>Require a Sustainability Course for all students<\/li>\n<li>Establish a Major and a Minor in Sustainability<\/li>\n<li>Hire a Sustainability Coordinator for the Campus<\/li>\n<li>Vend Refillable Water Bottles near all Soda and Water Machines<\/li>\n<li>Equip Labs with Solar and Biogas<\/li>\n<li>Recycle \u201cGrey Water\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Ban Vehicle Idling on Campus<\/li>\n<li>Better signage for Waste Management<\/li>\n<li>Better publicity and advertising for Carpooling Resource<\/li>\n<li>EV Charging Stations on Campus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"sColumn col-sm-12 col-md-12 \">\n<ul>\n<li>Install Water Filters in all Dorm Room Sinks<\/li>\n<li>Better signage in Dorm Laundry Rooms, for Water and Energy Conservation<\/li>\n<li>Energy Conservation Contests in Residence Halls<\/li>\n<li>Establish more Wildflower Meadows and Student Gardens on Campus<\/li>\n<li>Install signage at all Campus Sustainability Features<\/li>\n<li>Sustainability-related Scavenger Hunts<\/li>\n<li>Better continuity and succession planning for student-led sustainability events (such as Spring Into Sustainability\u2026collecting reusable discards on Move-out Day)<\/li>\n<li>Get Sodexo to offer, and students to use, more Vegetarian and Vegan options<\/li>\n<li>Lobby Student Government and Student Trustees for increased support of sustainability actions on Campus<\/li>\n<li>Establish class-credit based initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Establish a Ramapo \u201cMarketplace,\u201d where students can sell things they make<\/li>\n<li>Install a demonstration Compostable Toilet on Campus<\/li>\n<li>Get Dining Services to switch to compostable cutlery<\/li>\n<li>Give students Refillable Coffee Cups<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At Campus Sustainability Day, held on Thursday, October 22, 2015, a brainstorming session was held to generate ideas for ways in which the College could go greener.
