As such, all syllabi should be ADA compliant and instructors should continue working to review and update frequently used instructional materials, particularly those that are essential for student participation in courses. As per the College-wide <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/policies\/policy\/digital-accessibility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Policy for Digital Accessibility<\/a>, focus remediation efforts on content that is actively used and critical for academic activities. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/digital-accessibility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Digital Accessibility Website<\/a> provides training, practical guidance, and tools for creating accessible documents, webpages, emails, videos, social media, and other digital content. Please take advantage of these resources and training offered by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/idc\/workshops-and-training\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instructional Design Center<\/a> throughout the academic year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Remember:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Digital accessibility is a shared responsibility.<\/strong> Creating accessible course materials, websites, and other digital content is part of our collective commitment to ensuring all students have equitable access to all digital materials.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Build accessibility into new content from the start.<\/strong> As new course materials are developed, please use an &#8220;accessible by design&#8221; approach that reduces barriers for students and minimizes the need for time-consuming remediation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Prioritize high-impact legacy content.<\/strong> Faculty are encouraged to review and update frequently used instructional materials, particularly those that are essential for student participation in courses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Digital Accessibility Creating accessible course materials, websites, and other digital content is part of our collective commitment to ensuring all students have equitable access to all digital materials.
