Black Student Union\u00a0(BSU)<\/a><\/h4>\n

The Black Student Union\u00a0focus on the concerns of all students of color, not excluding different race, sex, and gender. ALL<\/strong> are welcome to join the organization. Students come in as a general member and can join\/attend on all of our upcoming events, community services, meetings, and more.\u00a0The objective of the Black Student Union is to unite all the Black families of the African Diaspora under one flag: the Red, Black, & Green. This includes Africans, Latinos, Asians, and any other group relating to the Diaspora.<\/p>\n

Brothers Making a Difference (BMAD)<\/a><\/h4>\n

In order to establish a healthy education, empowerment, prosperity, and freedom in a climate of mis-education, mistreatment, savage inequalities, social\/psychological slavery, and unequal circumstance for men of the African Diaspora, to be able to follow the true doctrine of human equality by climbing as high as he is able to climb and willing to go we commission this constitution for Brothers Making a Difference.<\/p>\n

Filipino American Student Association (FASA)<\/a><\/h4>\n

The Filipino American Student Association (FASA) is an organization focused on spreading awareness of the Filipino culture and heritage among the students of Ramapo College. FASA is also affiliated with the Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue (FIND), a network dedicated to promoting unity among many colleges and universities across the East Coast.<\/p>\n

International Student Organization (ISO)<\/a><\/h4>\n

The International Student Organization (ISO) is a social organization that bridges the divide between international and native students. This organization is based on different cultures and perspectives that allow individuals to enhance their knowledge on cultures around the world. ISO prides itself on diversity, mutual respect and tolerance of race, culture, religion, and sexual orientation. Our main goal is to unify cultural diversity among the Ramapo community.<\/p>\n

To become a member of the International Student Organization, all you need do is attend one of our meetings\u00a0or \u00a0simply send\u00a0an email to iso@ramapo.edu<\/a> and attend weekly meetings (It\u2019s that simple) and we will all have a wonderful time together.<\/p>\n

Ebony Women for Social Change (EWSC)<\/a><\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Ebony Women for Social Change strives to make social change happen, while providing a fun and friendly environment for members. The organization\u2019s purpose is to promote social change inside and outside Ramapo College while supporting members as they work to better themselves socially, academically and spiritually. Weekly meetings are held to discuss business and plan multiple events that promote African ancestry and provide opportunities to socialize. Events include trivia nights, themed nights, ice skating trips, guest speakers, educational workshops and fundraisers.<\/p>\n

Organization for Latino Unity (OLU)<\/a><\/h4>\n

OLU was created to unite students of diverse Latino heritages. This organization allows Latinos to come together and celebrate their similarities. Along with learning about the backgrounds of Latinos, the members of the organization plan various exciting and educational activities. OLU also serves as the political voice for Latino student issues and as a support system for students by creating an environment where they can work together to bring the Latino experience to Ramapo. Members seek to provide everyone on campus with an opportunity to learn about the Latino culture.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Association of Latinos Moving Ahead<\/a><\/h4>\n

The Association of Latinos Moving Ahead is an academic and social Latino organization promoting personal growth among other organizations including cultural, educational, social groups at and outside Ramapo College. The organization takes primary focus on fundraising and involvement in numerous community service activities among Latino communities. We hold a variety of social events on campus, to raise funds for the less fortunate, to address issues concerning Latinos and other ethnicities at Ramapo, and concentrate efforts on recruitment and retention of Latino students by developing academic and personal support services.<\/p>\n

Muslim Student Association (MSA)<\/a><\/h4>\n

Muslim Student Association will provide all members of the Ramapo Community with an understanding of Islam. The primary goal of the MSA will be to serve the best interests of the students of Ramapo College. The specific goals of the MSA include, but are not limited to, creating and raising awareness and understanding of Islam on campus as well as fostering a sense of community and brotherhood\/sisterhood among the students. The MSA will also promote a sense of appreciation of the core Islamic teachings to both Muslims and non-Muslims through its events and activities while providing services to facilitate a comfortable, safe, and peaceful campus environment.<\/p>\n

Ramapo Pride<\/a><\/h4>\n

Ramapo Pride provides a safe environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer, and\u00a0questioning (LGBTIQQ) students and their straight allies. Our organization is built around providing activist and educational programming, but also providing a social network for LGBTIQQ students on campus. It holds weekly meetings and organizes social, educational and activist programs for the campus at large.<\/p>\n

South Asians at Ramapo Club<\/a><\/h4>\n

South Asians at Ramapo (SAR) strives to bring attention to South Asian culture on campus, as well as promote diversity. Anyone who is South Asian or is interested in experiencing South Asian culture is welcome to be a part of the club!<\/p>\n

Chabad: Jewish Student Organization<\/a><\/h4>\n

Mission Statement<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chabad fosters Jewish pride and identity through a warm environment and connecting with the Jewish students at Ramapo College, regardless of your religious observance. Our goal is to provide for every Jewish student at Ramapo by bringing new and innovative programs through stimulating Jewish classes, delicious home-cooked meals for Friday night, barbecues, leadership opportunities, and so much more!<\/p>\n

Hillel<\/a><\/h4>\n

Hillel is an international organization that serves Jewish students on college campuses. Hillel offers religious and cultural programs including trips, holiday observances, historical commemorations, lectures, films, and leadership and personal growth opportunities. Although Hillel is a Jewish-based organization, it\u2019s open to students of all faiths. They hold weekly meetings with kosher food, have dinners at students\u2019 apartments and attend concerts. They provide students with volunteer opportunities as well as Shabbat and other holiday celebrations at the Rabbi\u2019s house. Hillel provides students a great way to connect with each other on campus, as well as learn about Judaism on a religious, philosophical, and cultural level.<\/p>\n

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF)<\/a><\/h4>\n

Involved in your church at home? The Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship is just one of the ways to get involved with your faith on campus.<\/em><\/p>\n

The organization is dedicated to students coming together and reaching out to others with the love of Jesus Christ both on and off campus.\u00a0 They do so through Bible study, weekend retreats and other activities designed to develop and expand spiritual and personal growth.\u00a0 Members also give back to their community by participating in soup kitchens and attending a retreat at Lake Champion, where they works as counselors.<\/p>\n
