An opening reception will be held on September 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. with an artists talk at 6 p.m. The pieces in the exhibition are related both by the use of projected light and ideas of mapping used to tell stories and visualize data. Selections from three bodies of work will be on display: Flight based on the historical fiction of Natalie Kinsey-Warnock; Due North, created during a residency at Frank Lloyd Wrights Taliesin site; and Mapping in Four Dimensions, a work-in-progress that uses environmental data collected by scientists to create idiosyncratic maps. LePore has exhibited nationally and internationally including events such as Digital Salon and the Free Biennial in New York City, and La Superette. Recent projects include Metanoia, a three-story time-lapse projection of a chrysalis hatching on the outside of the Museo de las Casas Reales in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; Water Projector, an electronic device built to project water on the outside on the Pequannock Gate in Newark, New Jersey; Expanding Animation, an exhibition of animation and interactive work curated for the Pascal Gallery at Ramapo College; and Due North, a large-scale projected video in partnership with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation in Wisconsin. She has been a New Leonardo artist (2003), and a Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation grant recipient (2002), and has completed residencies at Engine 27 Sound Space (2003) and the Teliesin Artist Residency Program (2006, 2007). In 2010-11, she was awarded a year-long residency at Gallery Aferro in Newark. LePore is an Assistant Professor of 3D Design and Animation and teaches in the Art and Technology concentration at Ramapo College. She received her BFA from Alfred University and her MFA from the School of the Visual Arts. This project is supported in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts. Gallery hours are Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 1 through 5 p.m. and Wednesdays 1 through 7 p.m. For more information, contact Sydney Jenkins at 201-684-7147. ### Ranked by U.S. News & World Report as fourth in the Best Regional Universities North category, Ramapo College of New Jersey offers bachelor's degrees in the arts, business, humanities, social sciences and the sciences, as well as in professional studies, which include nursing and social work, and as courses leading to teacher certification at the elementary and secondary levels.
