<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>How many credits is the Master of Science in Contemporary Instructional Design (MCID) program?<\/div>
\n

The program is 34 credits total.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>How long will it take me to get my MCID degree?<\/div>
\n

The MCID program can be completed either full time or part time. The average MCID student completes the program in two years. All courses must be completed within 5 years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>When can I start the program?<\/div>
\n

Students can join the MCID program in the Fall, Spring, or Summer terms.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Is the program offered in person, online, or in a hybrid format?<\/div>
\n

The majority of MCID courses are offered in a hybrid format. Some fully online courses may be available *subject to change<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>When & Where are classes held?<\/div>
\n

Hybrid classes typically meet in person, or online in a synchronous format, every other week during the fall and spring semesters. Asynchronous\/online sessions are offered during those weeks in between the in person (synchronous) sessions. Frequently, classes are held in school facilities in central and northern New Jersey. In rare cases classes are offered on campus. During the summer sessions, classes are typically offered online.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>What are the qualifications to apply to the program?<\/div>
\n

A baccalaureate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Is a teaching certificate required?<\/div>
\n

Although greater than 90% of our students are certified teachers, certification is not required to enter the program and complete the degree.\u00a0 The MCID degree is not a teaching certification.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Can I continue to work full time while earning my MCID degree?<\/div>
\n

Yes, many students continue to work full time while pursuing their MCID degree.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Does Ramapo have off-site cohorts in school districts?<\/div>
\n

Yes, we have several cohorts ranging from 8 \u2013 20 teachers in districts across NJ, if you and your colleagues are interested in collaborating with us to start a cohort in your district, please contact Program Director, Tim Casperson at\u00a0 <\/span>Caspers@ramapo.edu<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Do you accept transfer credits from other schools?<\/div>
\n

Yes, ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ policy allows fully matriculated MCID students to transfer up to eight (8) graduate credits (replacing two MCID courses, as appropriate) from an accredited institution.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>How much does the program cost? <\/div>
\n

Tuition is approximately $852 per credit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Estimated total cost for the MCID program = $28,962<\/span>

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Are there payment plans and\/or employer reimbursement cooperation agreements?<\/div>

We do have in-house payment plan options and cooperate with employer reimbursement <\/span>

<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span>Can graduate students apply for Financial Aid?<\/div>

Yes, Graduate students may borrow up to $20,500 annually under the Federal Direct Stafford <\/span>
\n<\/span>Loan programs.<\/span><\/p>\n
