College Honors Program\u00a0Student Learning Goals & Outcomes\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

College Honors Mission Statement<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Ramapo College Honors Program is a community of faculty and students dedicated to intellectual, creative and moral engagement. Honors students seek excellence through continual guidance and a distinctive curriculum of critical thinking, intercultural and international understanding, experiential learning, service, and interdisciplinary studies. The end of the program is the beginning of an enriched and accomplished life.<\/p>\n

Honors Goal 1: Intellectual and Creative Engagement<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Outcome 1:<\/strong> Conceive, plan and execute a professional quality academic\/research or creative project from the perspective of one\u2019s own discipline(s).<\/p>\n

Outcome 2:<\/strong> Write effectively in scholarly and creative contexts.<\/p>\n

Outcome 3:<\/strong> Speak effectively in scholarly and creative contexts.<\/p>\n

Outcome 4:<\/strong> Develop the skills necessary to locate, evaluate, and employ information effectively.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

Honors Goal 2: Moral and Community Engagement<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Outcome 1:<\/strong> Find meaning in collaborating with others in service and civic\/community engagement.<\/p>\n

Outcome 2:<\/strong> Analyze ethical implications of the global distribution of power and resources.<\/p>\n

Outcome 3:<\/strong> Participate in an engaged, experiential activity that connects the course to real world settings.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

Honors Goal 3: Global and Cultural Awareness<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Outcome 1:<\/strong> Critically engage with the products of culture, through interpretation or creative expression.<\/p>\n
