Mercer\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>College President\u2019s Report:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Spring Break canceled over concern for student\/ faculty staff safety.\u00a0 Value of eliminating break outweighs the value of having it. Other NJ colleges have eliminated the break.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Second wave of Covid predicted to peak around March: S. break time.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">SGA is not happy with the decision. Pres. Mercer will meet with them Thursday.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So far students are handling things well, but we are all concerned about tension, anxiety, and depression as well as their physical health.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pres. Mercer thinks college has handled it well.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>The Provost\u2019s Report<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">COPLAC is being held on Sat. 8 students from Ramapo presenting their work. Student work is online; faculty can join Zoom session.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fall 2020 student survey status: 1400 responses\/ all demographics well represented<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Results of the survey will be distributed to faculty.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Spring schedule<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: trying to make language clear and consistent (re: hybrid, asynchronous, etc.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Provost Council:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> dealing with the appropriate vocabulary for curriculum: terms like concentration, track, etc. are applied inconsistently across campus.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We need to develop guidelines and policies not just for \u201conline\u201d courses, but for \u201cremote delivery.\u201d We have reports of some students taking courses while driving and of non-students in the \u201cclassroom\u201d during class.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Comments Period (Open to all)<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Announcements<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2028Robert Doster, CIO<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Understands the frustration with the new \u201cdynamics in the modalities.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Help desk has been updated. <\/span><b><i>will add url here<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Faculty can see the list of your requests in the help page:<\/span><b><i> will add url here<\/i><\/b><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After new year, faculty will all have to change passwords due to security issues. Afterward, every 180 days from now on we will need new passwords.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When filling out help desk tickets, please indicate how help desk can get in touch with you.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To create name change in g-mail: technically, g-mail is difficult for this.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Voting Items<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2028<\/span><b>GECCo: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">new representative <\/span><b>needed<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for Systems &amp; Sustainability. Ideally this representative should come from SSHS. It is not a requirement, but SSHS needs another person on the committee regardless. If no representative from SSHS, they will need to elect an at large member.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You should have heard back if you submitted a course.
