Everything that we put on the ground or into the storm drain ends up in our water. Each of us has a responsibility to make sure these contaminants stay out of our water. Whether we have clean water is up to you.<\/p>\n<p>The official definition of stormwater under the N.J.A.C. 7:14A rules is as follows:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u2018Stormwater\u2019 means water resulting from precipitation (including rain and snow) that runs off the land\u2019s surface, is transmitted to the subsurface, or is captured by separate storm sewers or other sewage or drainage facilities, or is conveyed by snow removal equipment.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"divider\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/rcnjrd\/images\/icons\/ramapo-arch-icom_rule.png\" alt=\"Ramapo\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"infoBox col-sm-12 col-lg-12 \"><div class=\"boxTitle\">Dashboard of Accomplishments<\/div><div class=\"boxContent\">\n<p>The statistics below reflect how the campus Stormwater program has positively impacted our environment while educating the campus community.\u00a0 Our goal is to address nonpoint source pollution by empowering students, faculty and staff to make responsible and informed decisions regarding their watershed on campus and at home. Listed below are the measurable campus stormwater statistics from 2024 to present.<\/p>\n<div class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"><span class=\"fa-stack\"><i class=\"fa fa-circle fa-stack-2x\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-down fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><i class=\"fa fa-chevron-up fa-stack-1x fa-inverse\"><\/i><\/span>Campus Activities and Their Impact<\/div><div class=\"c_content\">\n<ul>\n<li>255 miles of streets swept (all streets are swept monthly)<\/li>\n<li>122 cubic yards of material removed from streets<\/li>\n<li>14 campus cleanup and educational events hosted<\/li>\n<li>1302 pounds of trash\/recycling collected at campus clean ups<\/li>\n<li>322 volunteer service hours for campus clean ups<\/li>\n<li>240 students\/staff trained and educated<\/li>\n<li>47,804 pounds of electronic waste collected, recycled and diverted from landfills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<h3>Campus Stormwater Links<\/h3>\n<div
