The Office of Violence Prevention (OVP) engages the campus community in evidence-based prevention education to eliminate sexual and relationship-based violence, including dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. We root our work in affirmative consent, empower active upstanders to practice community care, and build collaborative campus and community partnerships to challenge rape culture. Together, we cultivate safer, survivor-centered spaces and build a culture of mutual respect, relational accountability, and collective care. Join us in raising awareness, uplifting survivors, supporting boundary-setting, and affirming respectful relationships.

Location: C-216 If you or someone you know has experienced violence — whether sexual, relationship-based, or otherwise — support is available. Resources — including confidential support, reporting options, and information about your rights — can be found on Ramapo College’s Title IX website.

Interpersonal violence, including sexual assault, is a serious harm that affects both individuals and communities. Because sexual violence involves the misuse of power and control, it threatens the safety, dignity, and well-being of our campus community. Ramapo College does not tolerate sexual assault or other forms of power-based discrimination, including discrimination based on sex and gender.

Sexual harassment, in all its forms, is similarly harmful and inconsistent with our values. These behaviors disrupt the quality of collegiate relationships, undermining the learning and working environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Individuals have the right to choose if, when, and how to report, and both on-campus and off-campus reporting options are available through the Title IX office.

Students are encouraged to report sexual assaults to College authorities and/or the police. Reporting can be one way to access support and resources, and to help prevent further harm to others.

Looking for help?
