Accounting, economics, business ethics, business law, finance, information systems, international business, management, marketing and organizational behavior are some of the subjects that are explored as students prepare for their business careers in today&#8217;s dynamic global and entrepreneurial economy.<\/p>\n<p>Students who have completed their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ramapo have been employed by national and local C.P.A. firms, small and large corporations, banks and other service industries, and non profit organizations. Additionally, many Ramapo business students are accepted into graduate and doctoral programs annually. Students must choose one of the following<br \/>\nconcentrations: Finance, Management, or Marketing, and may choose up to two concentrations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rules of Acceptance into the Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Information Technology Management, and International Business Majors, see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ramapo.edu\/catalog-2013-2014\/asb\/\">About the Anisfield School of Business (ASB)<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"collapsableContent\" tabindex=\"0\" type=\"button\"><div class=\"collapsableTitle\"> About the Concentration<\/div>\n<p>Management is a necessary activity in every organization &#8211; regardless of the company&#8217;s size, scope, or purpose. Managers are responsible for setting the organization&#8217;s objectives and leading people as they interface with stakeholders, systems, and equipment to achieve those goals productively and ethically. While these basic functions of management have not changed, the growth of the global economy, technological transformation, and diversity in the work place are changing how organizations operate. Preparing students to be successful managers in these dynamic times is the Management faculty&#8217;s purpose.<\/p>\n<p>At Ramapo College, Management students receive an in-depth and comprehensive exposure to management functions, roles, and responsibilities. That exposure is grounded in academic tradition, includes contemporary case analysis and active learning, and builds central practitioner competencies and qualities. Students are rigorously prepared for promising careers in different industries, in private and public sectors, and for advanced academic education. The educational goals and objectives of the Management Program are infused throughout its curriculum, furthered by a dedicated faculty with broad academic and practitioner experience.<\/p>\n<p>The Management Program at Ramapo College prioritizes the following for development within its students:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Strategic, contemporary, and synergistic management perspective and capability.<\/li>\n<li>Ethical leadership and socially responsible action.<\/li>\n<li>Global and multi-cultural understanding and appreciation.<\/li>\n<li>Research, presentation, and interpersonal communication effectiveness.<\/li>\n<li>Conceptual, analytical, critical reasoning, and problem solving competence.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The Management Program participates in the Cooperative Education and Study Abroad programs, and sponsors student clubs and extracurricular activities related to the major.
